Alleged thief exposed to Ebola

KAMPALA, Uganda, Aug. 27 (UPI) -- A man who allegedly stole a cellular phone from an Ebola patient in a hospital in Uganda appears to have contracted the virus, officials said.

The suspect allegedly broke into an Ebola isolation ward in Kagadi Hospital and stole the phone from a patient being treated for the deadly hemorrhagic fever. The patient reported the theft before he died, the Daily Monitor reported Sunday.
