7 injured in Russian cafe shooting

PESTRAVKA, Russia, Aug. 26 (UPI) -- Seven people were injured when a man opened fire in a Russian cafe Sunday morning, police said.

The shooting took place around 7 a.m. at the 50 Years of October cafe in the village of Pestravka in the Samara region, RIA Novosti reported.

Police said a fight broke out between two groups of people at the cafe. A man from one of the groups opened fire on the other group "with an unknown type of firearm," police said.

"Seven people are in hospital with gunshot wounds," police said.

It was not reported whether the gunman was arrested.
