Another typhoon to track for China coast

BEIJING, Aug. 25 (UPI) -- China said Typhoon Bolaven was on track to bring gales to the country's east coast by Sunday.

Bolaven is the 15th typhoon to bluster through the western Pacific this season and was moving northeast toward Zhejiang Province Saturday on a path that would bring it into the East China Sea on Sunday, China's National Meteorological Center said.

The Japan Meteorological Agency described Bolaven as a large and "very strong" storm with maximum winds of 109 mph.

Bolaven is the latest in a parade of tropical storms to march ashore in China. Emergency officials said heavy rain was expected in the central and western regions of the Yellow and Huaihe rivers, China's Xinhua news agency said.

Typhoon Tembin was in the South China Sea Saturday and expected to linger there through the weekend, Xinhua reported.
