Taliban leader arrested in Afghanistan

KABUL, Afghanistan, Aug. 22 (UPI) -- A Taliban leader suspected of attacking Afghan troops was arrested Wednesday in Afghanistan's Kandahar Region, the military said.

The suspect conducted attacks against Afghan on coalition forces, moved explosives and weapons to other Taliban fighters and carried out an improvised explosive device attack against Afghan forces, a statement from the International Security Assistance Force said Wednesday.
