ANCHIANO, Italy, June 22 (UPI) -- Leonardo da Vinci's birthplace in Anchiano, Italy, was set to reopen Friday as a museum after undergoing a $1.5 million restoration project.
Anchiano will serve as a tourist attraction for fans of the Renaissance man's work and will feature a hologram of Leonardo recalling stories from his life, Italy's ANSA news agency reported. Admission is free on Saturday and Sunday and will cost $2.50 after the weekend.
