Father allegedly beheads daughter in India

DUNGERJI KA GUDA, India, June 18 (UPI) -- A man in India allegedly beheaded his daughter with a sword after becoming enraged over her alleged sexual relations with men, police said Monday.

The man, Ogad, allegedly beheaded his daughter, Manju, Sunday evening in the village of Dungerji Ka Guda, then carried her head throughout the village before turning himself into police, the Press Trust of India reported.

Police said Ogad caught Manju, who had been married for three years but was not living with her husband, with a man a few days earlier.

Ogad was arrested and his daughter's body was transported to a local hospital for an autopsy, police said.
