TRIPOLI, Libya, June 16 (UPI) -- Prisoners taken during the Libyan uprising must be released within two months if there is no evidence of crimes, the Libyan interior minister said Saturday.
Fawzi Abdulali said those who are not freed must be transferred to the public prosecutor for trial, the Tripoli Post reported. He ordered the national security service to start work immediately on determining who should be held.

Thousands of people were taken prisoner during the uprising that overthrew Moammar Gadhafi last year and in the immediate aftermath.
