Hate graffiti sprayed on Holocaust museum

JERUSALEM, June 11 (UPI) -- Israeli officials condemned the spraying of anti-Zionist graffiti, including pro-Hitler slogans, on walls at Jerusalem's Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum

"Hitler, thanks for the Holocaust," "Israel is the secular Auschwitz of the Sephardic Jewry," "Jews wake up -- the Zionist regime is dangerous" and "If Hitler didn't exist the Zionists would have had to invent him" were among hate slogans spray-painted near the museum entrance Sunday, Ynetnews.com said.

"We have to find these perpetrators as soon as possible. This was a heinous crime against one of the state of Israel's most prominent symbols. I am appalled and outraged," Ynetnews.com quoted Internal Security Minister Yitzhak Aharonovitch as saying.

Education Minister Gideon Sa'ar called the incident extremely serious, Israel Radio reported.

Police were investigating the possibility that an extremist ultra-Orthodox group was responsible, the report said.
