BOLOGNA, Italy, June 5 (UPI) -- The death toll from last month's earthquake in Italy rose to 25 Tuesday when a comatose victim died in a Bologna hospital.
Sandra Gherardi, 46, of the town of Cento, had been in the hospital since May 29 when she was struck by falling rubble from a nearby building, ANSA reported.

The May 20 and May 29 earthquakes in the Emilia-Romagna region damaged or destroyed historic churches, castles and artworks and left thousands of people homeless. Damaged is estimated to be more than $6 billion, ANSA reported.
