MODENA, Italy, May 25 (UPI) -- Earthquake aftershocks shook the Emilia-Romagna and Veneto regions of Italy Friday, forcing more than 2,000 people to leave their homes, officials said.
The tremors of about 3.2 magnitude hit Finale Emilia near Modena several days after a quake that killed seven people in the region, ANSA reported.

A state of emergency covering the northern provinces of Bologna, Modena, Ferrara and Mantua is set to end July 21, the Italian government said.
Builders and contractors at warehouses in Bologna, where building collapses killed four workers, were being questioned about whether the structures complied with anti-seismic building codes, ANSA reported.
