Russian aircraft crash lands, injuring six

PRAGUE, Czech Republic, May 23 (UPI) -- Six crew members were injured Wednesday when a Russian military aircraft caught fire after crash-landing in the Czech Republic, the Czech government said.

A Russian military source told RIA Novosti the Antonov An-30 aircraft had been conducting an Open Skies surveillance flight with 23 people on board when its nose wheel collapsed while landing.

One Czech and two Russians were among the injured, a Czech government spokesman said.

The incident occurred at the Chaslav military aerodrome 46 miles from Prague.
