Suicide blast kills 17 at Pakistani bazaar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 4 (UPI) -- A suicide bomber detonated explosives in a crowded bazaar in Pakistan's Bajaur Agency Friday, killing at least 17 people and wounding 40 others, police said.

Officials said the bomber, reportedly just 14 years old, detonated the explosives in a vest he wore as security personnel were about to frisk him in the market in Khar, Xinhua, China's state-run news agency, reported.
