Pakistan: Buses set on fire, gunmen kill 6

GILGIT, Pakistan, April 3 (UPI) -- Gunmen opened fire on bus passengers in Gilgit, Pakistan, Tuesday, killing six people and set fire to six buses, officials said.

Police said the passengers were taken off the buses and then killed, Geo News reported.

A curfew had been in effect for Gilgit after four people died and 45 were injured when fighting broke out earlier Tuesday between citizens and police after a hand grenade was thrown. Two police officers were among the injured, officials said.

Witnesses said burning tires blocked several roads and gunfire was heard elsewhere in the city.
