KARACHI, Pakistan, March 31 (UPI) -- A series of drive-by shootings and other gunfire continued Saturday in Karachi, Pakistan, where authorities say at least 14 people have been killed.
Karachi schools and business areas were shut down after a day of mourning was declared for the victims of a surge of shootings throughout the city this week.
Geo News said public transportation was also shut down for the day.
It was unclear who was doing the shooting or why.
The seemingly random victims included a bus driver and a motorist who had stopped at a gas station.
