20 Russians arrested in protest

MOSCOW, March 18 (UPI) -- Moscow police arrested about 20 people who gathered in an unauthorized rally to oppose the release of a documentary about protests, officials said.

Several dozen people gathered at the Ostankino television center in opposition to a 36-minute documentary aired by state-controlled television channel NTV, RIA Novosti reported. The film, "Anatomy of a Protest" alleged Russians were paid to attend recent voter fraud protests.

Activists said the documentary is full of "insolent lies and provocation."

Left Front leader Sergei Udaltsov was arrested as part of the incident Sunday, his second detainment in a week. Police arrested Udaltsov Thursday when he attempted to organize another unauthorized post-election protest. A Moscow court released him Friday and ordered him to pay a $30 fine for the earlier incident.
