Iranian MP warns Israel

TEHRAN, March 6 (UPI) -- A member of the Iranian Parliament warned Israel it would face retaliation if the Islamic Republic comes under attack.

Alaeddin Boroujerdi, chairman of the country's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, told the state-run Iranian television network Press TV any attack on Iran "will be equal to a very serious security threat to the Zionist regime."

The Mehr news agency quoted the country's military commander Gen. Ataollah Salehi as warning Monday Iran's navy is capable of dispatching warships to the Atlantic Ocean.

Meanwhile the Iranian Student News Agency said Tuesday Iran will permit U.N. inspectors access to its Parchin military complex.

A statement issued by Iran's representative in Vienna said Tehran will permit inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency to visit the site "one more time," noting the site is a military installation and "accessing it is a time consuming process; therefore, the visit cannot be allowed frequently."
