Andrew Wells, 29, hung on by his seat belt when the rollover occurred. "Not a scratch -- I was lucky," he told the Edmonton Journal. "Lots of people were bleeding from the glass. People were panicking and crying."

Ambulances reported to the scene from Edmonton, Morinville, Redwater, Gibbons Fort Saskatchewan, Thorrid and Westlock. Some passengers with serious injuries were flown to nearby hospitals.

John Stepovy, general manager for Red Arrow said the bus was booked, with 36 passengers on board. "Our biggest concern is the well-being of our passengers on board." A second bus was dispatched to take passengers the rest of the way to Edmonton.
