Gadhafi memorabilia for sale

ZINTAN, Libya, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- A Libyan man is taking bids on what he says is Moammar Gadhafi's wedding ring and the bloody shirt the former dictator was wearing when he was killed.

Ahmed Warfali's asking price for the silver ring, engraved with the former Libyan leader's wedding date, Sept. 10, 1970, and the button-down beige shirt Gadhafi wore the day he was found by rebels near his hometown of Sirte and shot to death, is $2 million, ABC News reported Thursday.

Although no bidders have been reported, reaction has been swift, especially from Libyans commenting on the Internet.

"The ring does not belong to Gadhafi, it's Libyan money and this guy should not sell the ring," a Facebook correspondent from the town of Zintan, where Gadhafi's son and presumed heir Saif al-Islam is currently in custody, wrote.

"Enough fighting over property," said another poster.
