VALPARAISO, Chile, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake struck along the central coast of Chile, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
No injuries were reported in the Tuesday night quake.

The epicenter of the quake, which struck at a depth of 14.6 miles, was located in the Coquimbo region, 97 miles north of the city of Valparaiso, USGS said.
