YATHRIB, Iraq, Jan. 10 (UPI) -- Three students died in an explosion near a school north of Iraq's capital Tuesday, and a roadside explosive device killed an army officer, police said.
Police said the students were killed by a bomb that exploded in Yathrib in the province of Salahuddin, KUNA reported.

The army officer was killed by the roadside explosive that also injured three others in a patrol car in the town of Khaniqeen in the province of Diyali, police said.
