Israeli deputy minister's Web site hacked

JERUSALEM, Jan. 9 (UPI) -- Israeli Deputy Foreign Minister Danny Ayalon said his Web site was hacked and blamed Muslim extremists for trying to "prevent me from continuing to do my work."

Ayalon's site was hacked after he vowed that no entity in Saudi Arabia would be exempt from Israeli retaliation for the hacking of tens of thousands credit cards held by Israelis, the Hurriyet Daily News reported.

"This morning, some Muslim extremists hacked into my [Web site] to try and prevent me from continuing to do my work," Ayalon said on his Twitter page Monday.

Asked by one Twitter user why he assumed Muslims hacked his account, Avalon replied, "[Because] their hack contained quotes invoking Allah and referred to Jews as 'pigs and monkeys.'"
