Egypt prosecutes virginity test misconduct

CAIRO, Dec. 21 (UPI) -- Egypt will prosecute military personnel accused of conducting virginity checks on women arrested in Tahrir Square, a military official said.

The military is also investigating allegations protesters were run over with military vehicles during an Oct. 9 march by Coptic Christian protesters outside the Maspero state TV building, al-Masry al-Youm reported Wednesday.
