U.S. woman vanishes from Japan base

OKINAWA, Japan, Dec. 6 (UPI) -- A Georgia woman has been missing from a U.S. Air Force base in Japan for more than a month, family members say.

Kelli Cribbs Abad, a 27-year-old mother of two from Brooklet, was last seen Oct. 26 leaving Kadena Air Base near Okinawa, where her husband, an airman, is based, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported Tuesday.

Her vehicle was found three days later, about 10 miles away.

WSB-TV, Atlanta, said Japanese and U.S. military authorities found no traces of the woman, who has been living in Japan for about three years.

The newspaper said her passport was found at her home, and her purse and cellphone weren't taken.
