Lee, Medvedev agree to work on pipeline

SEOUL, Nov. 5 (UPI) -- South Korean President Lee Myung-bak and Russian President Dmitry Medvedev agreed to work on a gas pipeline linking the countries, Yonhap News Agency reported.

Yonhap said the two leaders discussed the gas pipeline, which would run through North Korea, during Lee's two-day visit to Russia.

Lee then attended the Group of 20 leaders summit in Cannes, France, and urged debt-laden countries to move ahead with restructuring to control the eurozone debt crisis.

He warned against protectionist policies and urged more efforts to help poorer nations.

The South Korean president returned to Seoul Saturday.
