ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, Oct. 11 (UPI) -- Rockets were fired Tuesday at the governor of Pakistan's northwest Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Province but he escaped injury, officials said.
Syed Masood Kausar and his convoy were traveling to a political meeting in the Orakzai tribal area when they were attacked, CNN reported.

A local government spokesman said the political rally also was hit by a rocket about the same time, injuring six people. The extent of their injuries was not immediately known.
