Body parts found in Juarez, Mexico

JUAREZ, Mexico, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Arms and legs and other body parts, apparently from the same man, were found scattered in Juarez, Mexico, officials said

Arturo Sandoval, a spokesman for the Chihuahua attorney general's office, said the body parts were found Sunday at several locations, the El Paso (Texas) Times reported Monday.

"At this point, we don't have further details about these findings," Sandoval told the Times. "We have found only arms and legs pieces."

Investigators did not know how the body parts were severed or how the victim was killed, Sandoval said. He also would not confirm whether a threat was left with some of the remains.

It is believed the body parts were from a single victim, the Times said.

Officials said three men found dead in a vehicle were shot Saturday in an industrial neighborhood of Juarez, the Times reported. Detectives said they recovered 24 bullet casings.

Also on Saturday, police reported a man was found dead in the trunk of a car and another man, found lying in a street, was shot to death, the Times said.
