Turkish hackers break into wrong Web sites

TEL AVIV, Israel, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Anti-Israel messages were left on Palestinian Web sites by Turkish hackers who thought they were breaking into Israeli sites, Ynetnews reported.

The confusion was caused by Palestinian sites, which usually have a .ps Web suffix, using Israeli servers, the English language Web site of Israel's Yedioth Ahronoth newspaper said.

"The hackers left anti-Israel messages on 70 Palestinian sites," said Shai Blitzblau, the head of Maglan-Computer Warfare and Network Intelligence Labs. "Most of them discovered it when it was already too late. Only after they broke in and sabotaged the Web sites ... they found out these were Palestinian sites."

The messages feature an Israeli soldier cleaning blood off his hands and include this reference to Israel's prime minister, Binyamin Netanyahu: "You will apologize Netanyahu, you will apologize Israel."

The hacks come during growing diplomatic troubles between Turkey and Israel.
