Doctors: Pakistan's Zardari in good health

LONDON, Sept. 12 (UPI) -- Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari, who underwent a medical checkup in London, was given "a clean bill of health," a statement from doctors said.

A medical bulletin said Zardari's examination at London's government-owned Royal Brompton Hospital included routine tests and angiography, Pakistan's News International reported.

"After carrying out tests the doctors gave a clean bill of health as President Asif Ali Zardari is absolutely fine," presidential spokesman Farhatullah Babar said, quoting a medical bulletin issued by Maj. Gen. Azhar Kiani, personal physician to the president, the Dawn newspaper reported.

News International reported the tests were performed by Carlo Di Mario, head of cardiology at the hospital, assisted by U.S. cardiologists.
