The blaze also threatened an oil refinery and forced evacuations of homes in two neighborhoods.

The Jerusalem Post said official expected to have the fires contained Sunday evening, but people living in the area were asked to stay in their homes until further notice.

A spokesman for the fire department told the Post the multiple ignitions "raised a lot of questions."
