MANILA, Philippines, July 12 (UPI) -- A 6.4-magnitude offshore earthquake Tuesday shook Negros Occidental province in the Philippines, the U.S. Geological Survey said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage.

The quake struck 4.47 a.m. local time, 78 miles west-northwest of Dumaguete on the Negros, or 357 miles south-southeast of Manila.
The Manila Bulletin, quoting the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology, said there was a "swarm" of moderate to strong earthquakes Tuesday, jolting the region.
