SYUKEYEVO, Russia, July 10 (UPI) -- Almost 90 people were missing after a cruise ship sank in the Volga River Sunday, Russian authorities said.
The double-deck Bulgaria, sailing from Bolgar to Kazan, went under at 1:58 p.m. Moscow time near the village of Syukeyevo in the Kansko-Ustinovsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan, RIA Novosti reported.

The latest report from the Emergencies Ministry had one woman dead, 88 people missing and 84 rescued. There were 182 people aboard the Bulgaria, including 125 passengers.
The ministry sent an Il-76 jet to help 22 units involved in the rescue operation.
The Investigative Committee said President Dmitry Medvedev has ordered an investigation.
