NATO airstrikes hit Libyan targets

TRIPOLI, Libya, June 9 (UPI) -- NATO says it has conducted airstrikes in Libya and destroyed a number of facilities and equipment of Moammar Gadhafi's regime.

In the vicinity of Misurata, one electronic warfare vehicle and a military training camp were destroyed in NATO strikes, KUNA news agency reported.

Near the Libyan capital of Tripoli, airstrikes targeted surface-to-air missile storage facilities and a command-and-control facility.

Since operations began March 31, NATO aircraft have flown a total of 10,290 sorties, including 3,907 strike sorties over Libya, KUNA reported.
