Israeli security forces encountered violent opposition as they entered the Alei Ain outpost in the West Bank's Binyamin region to dismantle four illegal dwellings, Maariv reported.

Settlers blocked the access road to the site with vehicles in an effort to prevent police and soldiers from reaching the outpost, the Hebrew daily said.

A police official told the newspaper it took security forces 2 hours before police were able to remove vehicles blocking the access road and reach the outpost.

Settlers threw stones at security forces destroying the dwellings and several youth threw firebombs at police vehicles, setting one on fire, the newspaper said.
