ISLAMABAD, Pakistan, May 1 (UPI) -- Pakistani gunmen killed four police officers and torched 14 NATO oil tankers in northern Punjab province, authorities said.
The gunmen began firing as the police rushed toward the tankers near the Dhulian police post late Sunday night near Attock, Pakistan's NATION reported, quoting police sources.

The attackers also wounded six police officers before escaping, the report said.
"The gunmen first opened fire on the tankers and after fleeing they attacked a nearby police post in which three police constables and one sub-inspector were killed," Geo News reported, quoting a police official.
"Six other police officials were wounded," he said.
