BAGHDAD, March 22 (UPI) -- An explosion targeting an Iraqi security forces patrol in Baghdad killed one soldier and injured seven others Tuesday, police said.
In another incident elsewhere in Baghdad, an executive at the Iraqi Central Bank survived an assassination attempt on his convoy, Kuwaiti news agency KUNA reported.

Police said the attack on the banker's convoy injured some security guards.
KUNA did not indicate whether those injured in the attack on the Iraqi police patrol were security forces or civilians.
Two other civilians were injured when an explosion occurred at a store in the capital, KUNA reported.
Al-Sumaria reported two missiles landed near the green zone in central Baghdad, but further details were unavailable.
