More snow is expected in Guizhou Thursday, the provincial Meteorological Observatory reports.

In Chongqing, more than 10,000 people have gone without water since water meters and pipes froze and broke Monday.

More than 800 vehicles stranded on the ice-coated Guiyang-Xinzhai Expressway Wednesday morning, traffic police said.
