When store security caught them, one of them whipped out a can of pepper spray and fired, hitting customers, the guards and one of his accomplices, who was left behind in the store and arrested. The other two remained at large Sunday.

Injured people fled the store and several needed medical treatment, police said.

"I kept coughing and coughing and then my wife came around and she was coughing and she said, 'Let's go because I can't take it,'" Alex Krawek said afterward.

The boy who was arrested is charged with robbery with a weapon and unauthorized possession of a weapon, police said. He is being held at the Manitoba Youth Center.
