LONDON, Jan. 7 (UPI) -- Julian Assange, the Australian founder of WikiLeaks, says he wants the book he is writing to become "one of the unifying documents of our generation."
Assange delivered the message in an e-mail sent by the book's publisher, Canongate, London's Guardian newspaper reported.
"I hope this book will become one of the unifying documents of our generation," Assange said. "In this highly personal work, I explain our global struggle to force a new relationship between the people and their governments."
The book will be released in the United Kingdom in April.
In the e-mail, the publisher called Assange a "visionary creator" and the driving force behind a "new publishing phenomenon."
Assange isn't the only person writing a book about WikiLeaks.
Former WikiLeaks spokesman Daniel Domscheit-Berg's book "Inside WikiLeaks: My Time with Julian Assange at the World's Most Dangerous Website," will be released Feb. 15, CNN reported.
Domscheit-Berg's book will "reveal the evolution, finances and inner tensions" of WikiLeaks, its publisher, Crown Publishing, said.
Bomscheit-Berg said he would also launch OpenLeaks.org to share information from anonymous sources. In his book, Domscheit-Berg describes how he met Assange at the Chaos Computer Club, a hacker group based in Germany.
