LONDON, Dec. 26 (UPI) -- Julian Assange says he is mystified by the sex charges against him in Sweden, and one of his accusers took a "trophy photo" of him naked in her bed.
In an interview with The Sunday Times of London, the WikiLeaks founder said the woman invited him to stay in her apartment when he visited Stockholm in August to give a lecture.
She returned home early and insisted he sleep in her bed, he said. "We went to bed, and things went on from there."
"The day after this incident, she invited friends around to her flat for a dinner in honor of me," Assange said. "Does that sound like someone who was upset by what had happened? And at the dinner were a couple who had offered to have me as their guest. Instead, she insisted I remain with her. I stayed the rest of the week."
He said he believed his two accusers turned on him when they realized he had been to bed with both of them in swift succession, and that the police coached them.
"Sweden is the Saudi Arabia of feminism," he said. "I fell into a hornets' nest of revolutionary feminism."
