JERUSALEM, Nov. 16 (UPI) -- Israel is awaiting written details of incentives the United States is offering in exchange for a West Bank construction freeze, Israeli officials said Tuesday.

The senior officials told Haaretz the Obama administration hasn't presented Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu with details in writing of the incentives package offered in exchange for a 90-day resumption of the West Bank freeze.

The previous 10-month construction freeze expired in September.

The incentive package includes the sale of 20 new fighter jets to Israel and certain guarantees concerning discussions at the United Nations.

"We still do not have a final proposal in writing that can be discussed in depth," said Finance Minister Yuval Steinitz.

The accord was hammered out during Netanyahu's recent visit to Washington.

There has been no comment from the Palestinian Authority pending an official U.S. announcement.

However, aides to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas have said any settlement freeze must include East Jerusalem.
