ABERDARE, Wales, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- A 5-foot-6-inch Welsh student who lost 210 pounds at a U.S. weight camp last year is now the United Kingdom's fattest teenager at 476 pounds, observers say.
Georgia Davis, 17, of Aberdare in south Wales, started out at 462 pounds before she went to the Wellspring Academy in North Carolina, Britain's the Daily Mail reported.
The teen, who has Type 2 diabetes, said she began using food as comfort after her father died.
The teenager worked off 210 pounds in nine months and returned home in June 2009 to Great Britain's respect and a return to bad habits, the newspaper said Tuesday.
"I started eating the cheap, bad food I had before," Davis said. Soon she had put back on all the weight she had lost and then some.
"I want to be slim again and it was tough when I realized I'd reached 34 stone (476 pounds)," she said.
At her current weight, Davis is not expected to live past 20, the Mail reported.
Although she is criticized for being lazy, Davis says she wants help from the National Health Service because her eating problem is no different from alcohol or drug addiction.
"I know I'm probably eating myself to death again but at the moment I can't face up to it," Davis said.
