Hague prosecutor will 'smoke out' Mladic

BELGRADE, Serbia, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- War crimes prosecutor Vladimir Vukcevic says he will bring former Serbian military leader Ratko Mladic to justice, vowing to "smoke Mladic out of his hole."

The prosecutor said work was going on around-the-clock to find Mladic in Bosnia, who is wanted by the Hague Tribunal in the Netherlands on charges of genocide and war crimes, Belgrade's B92 reported Friday.

"We will smoke Mladic out of his hole. I believe I was very clear in that statement," B92 reported Vukcevic was quoted as saying in the Belgrade tabloid Press.

Vukcevic mentioned the same kind of intense work when referencing the case of Goran Hadzic, a former Serbian political leader in Croatia, also a fugitive wanted by the Hague Tribunal, B92 said.
