Two firefighters die in Spanish wildfire

MADRID, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- Two firefighters have died fighting a wildfire in northwestern Spain, officials say.

The fire started near Fornelos de Montes in Pontevedra province and officials believe someone deliberately caused the forest blaze, the BBC reported Saturday.

The report did not name the dead or say how they died, but said firefighters are still trying to bring the wildfire under control.

Two Portuguese firefighters died earlier this week fighting a fire near that country's Peneda-Geres national park, the report said.
