Autopsy results expected for stowaway

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, July 13 (UPI) -- Autopsy results were expected Tuesday for a Lebanese man found dead in the landing gear of a jet that arrived in Saudi Arabia, Saudi security sources say.

The victim, identified as 20-year-old Firas Haidar of suburban Beirut, was discovered Saturday after a Nas Air plane flying from Beirut to Saudi Arabia touched down at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Gulf News reports.

The captain of the flight was questioned by Saudi authorities about whether he was told that witnesses reported seeing a man running towards the plane at the Beirut airport.

Authorities in both Lebanon and Saudi Arabia are investigating the incident.

Saudi security sources told Gulf News that Haidar's death could have been caused by a number of things including freezing temperatures and being crushed by one of the aircraft's tires during takeoff or landing.
