MOSCOW, May 21 (UPI) -- Russia will post all its World War II archives on the Web by 2013, President Dmitry Medvedev said Friday.
"The Defense Ministry is already working on this and a relatively small but significant part of the 230,000 field reports and 30 million award citations have already been posted on the People's Heroic Deeds Web site," Medvedev said, RIA Novosti reported.

He said almost 1.5 million people had visited the site -- "proof of the high interest in the documents."
The more than 100 million pages of documents to be digitized and posted weigh in at 400 tons.
Defense Minister Anatoly Serdyukov said government workers had been declassifying the war archives since 2007.
