WINNIPEG, Manitoba, April 19 (UPI) -- Two Canadian teachers who got a burst of Internet video fame with a simulated lap dance in school are no longer employed by the school, an official said Monday.

A Winnipeg School Division representative issued a statement saying the male high school teacher who simulated oral sex on his colleague will not have his contract renewed and the female teacher has resigned, the Canadian Broadcasting Corp. reported.

The teachers -- whose names were not reported -- had been suspended with pay since the sex-charged dance routine during a school-sanctioned spirit event at Churchill High School in February. The CBC said students described the episode like "sex on the dance floor."

A 1-minute video of the teachers' performance wound up on YouTube and other Internet sites where it was viewed by millions of people worldwide.
