BALAKHAN, Russia, April 5 (UPI) -- The suspected bomber of the Lubyanka subway station in Moscow lived at home with her parents and never expressed any radical beliefs, her father said.
Mariam Sharipova, of Balakhan, in the Russian republic of Dagestan, allegedly was one of two female suicide bombers who attacked the Lubyanka and Park Kultry stations March 29, killing 40 people and injuring dozens.
Rasul Magomedov said he and his wife recognized Sharipova, their daughter, from a surveillance photo being circulated by Moscow authorities, RIA Novosti reported Monday.
"Last time my wife saw our daughter she was wearing the same red headscarf as in the photo," he said.
Sharipova, 28, graduated with honors from college in 2005 and returned to Balakhan to teach computer science at the local high school.
"She always lived at home; we always knew what she was up to," Magomedov said.
Magomedov said Russian security officials in early March accused Sharipova of being married to terrorist leader Magomedali Vagabov, but she denied it and said she would never marry without her father's consent.
