AMMAN, Jordan, Oct. 31 (UPI) -- An Israeli tourist bus overturned near Amman, Jordan, leaving one person dead and more than 30 others hurt, emergency personnel said.
Personnel with Israel's Magen David Adom emergency service said nine of the injured in the Friday accident were taken to Israeli hospitals via air transport and the remaining victims were transferred to Israel by ambulance, Haaretz reported Saturday.
Of those hurt in the crash, 10 reportedly were in serious condition with unspecified injuries.
Haaretz said the accident occurred as the bus was traveling to Petra as part of an organized sightseeing trip.
The unidentified bus driver lost control when the vehicle skidded on a wet road and the bus overturned into a ditch, the Israeli newspaper added.
The identity of the single fatality, an Israeli national, was not reported.
