XINING, China, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- A truck-bus collision in China's Qinghai province killed at least eight people and injured 28 others, officials say.
Authorities said the accident happened Saturday on a national highway when a truck hit the rear of a passenger bus, flipping the bus over, the state-owned Chinese news agency Xinhua reported.

Sui Tianen, a doctor with the Affiliated Hospital of Qinghai University, told the news agency seven people who sustained serious brain, bone, liver and chest injuries were in stable condition after emergency treatment.
Xinhua said provincial traffic authorities were probing the crash.
