President Donald Trump honors Native American code talkers at the White House -- and also made a controversial comment about a U.S. senator. Senate Republicans work to pass their tax bill. And the White House is decorated for the holidays, so far this week in Washington, D.C.

The White House gingerbread house was unveiled on Monday, along with all the other holiday decorations. The theme this year is "Time-Honored Traditions," an homage to the 200 years of holiday celebrations in the "People's House." More than 150 volunteers from 29 states worked to hang 71 wreaths and decorate 53 Christmas trees. Photo by Kevin Dietsch/UPI
